Between these, pascal ribeaufarmer in Ford of Allere. The president of the Aunis Authorized Irrigation Union Association indicated on July 28 in a letter to its members that he had been sealed off, like two other farmers, from his pumping station by the authorities and, “by this action (police controls ), the State services wanted to let us know that they were there and put pressure on us. We must not give in to the pressure and stop the irrigation.”

Already in 2017

Nature Environnement 17 recalls in its press release that in 2017, “We had this same behavior in July 2017 when the Chamber of Agriculture and the Charente-Maritime irrigation association, Aquanid 17, had asked its members to resume irrigation and not respect the orders of the prefecture. Mr. Cédric Tranquard current president of the chamber of agriculture was the president of Aquanide 17″.

On Friday, August 5, the AunisTV newsroom tried unsuccessfully to contact Pascal Ribreau and Eric Tranquard to obtain their position and opinion. The farmers involved will be summoned to the police court in February 2023.
