game news Resident Evil Village – A mystical and terrifying creature might have joined vampires and werewolves!
As the month of April begins, we inch closer to the anniversary date of Resident Evil Village’s release. At the moment, it is difficult to know what the future of the franchise holds for us: if languages have a hard time letting go of upcoming projects, those already released are more talkative and still give us some well-kept secrets, like those of a previous version of the eighth installment of the saga.

No news is good news?
Exactly one month from now, Resident Evil Village will celebrate its one-year anniversary, but for the past few months there has been an absolute lull surrounding Capcom’s horror franchise.. In fact, there have been vague hopes around the release of a free DLClast October, or the rumorsIt quickly disabled the arrival of the eighth work within Xbox Game Pass, but that’s it. Rest assured, it’s not because the game isn’t being talked about much anymore that it’s doing poorly.
On the contrary, since its release, the latest addition to the Resident Evil franchise has distinguished itself at numerous events, Gold joysticks toward prizes given passing by the BAFTAs. If it didn’t necessarily bring statuettes every time, Capcom reports good revenue generated from this eighth episode.
Those who have completed Ethan Winters’ latest odyssey are eager to find out what is at stake in the ninth installment. However, Capcom is not inclined to reveal any information on this subject. So, in the meantime, some of the most curious players are looking for information: a handful return empty-handed, while others make discoveries… but in the episode released in May 2021, they are still far from having revealed all their secrets!
Thanks to Dusk Golem, a developer and big fan of horror, aka AestheticGamer, we learned that many changes were made during the creation of the eighth episode, in particular, the swamp area and Moreau’s fortress. Initially a bit like Lady Dimitrescu and her three daughters, one of this part’s monstrous antagonists could have enlisted the help of mythical creatures to hunt down Ethan Winters’ character.
(1/7) I was thinking about this, so I’m going to talk about it. The RE8 area of Moreau was cut back a lot, I don’t think I’ve sat down and fully explained what I knew about the Moreau swamp area before it was cut back, so I think I’ll do that now.

In fact, our hero could have fought mermaids in this area, especially during the aquatic phases, and witnessed a series of strange events and other very suspicious rituals.. Unfortunately, due to lack of time and funds, Capcom had to make decisions and amputate this area of certain content. A sad state of affairs, to be sure, but we can thank Capcom for preserving our hearts by sparing us the fear of being dragged into the abyss by a bunch of devilish mermaids.
